The Smurfs DVD review

The Smurfs new movie begins with the Smurfs celebrating the Blue Moon festival in thier village. During the festival Gargamel attacks the village and in the confusion the Smurfs get sucked into a vortex and transported to New York.  The Smurfs find themselves on a quest to get home and meet a lovely couple called Patrick and Grace Winslow. Gargamel follows the Smurfs through the vortex to try to capture them, when the Winslow’s provide protection and help the Smurfs get home to their village.  Will the Smurfs get home and how will the Winslow’s cope when they are gone?

The Smurfs is a classic family film which everyone can enjoy watching. The little blue men and woman are on another adventure against the evil villain called Gargamel. The film uses a simple storyline to teach moral good values of kindness, helpfulness and being supportive to people in need. The film animation was done with the latest techniques and gave the Smurfs a 3D feel.

Scorpia Rising book review

As the last of the Alex Rider series, Scorpia Rising focuses on the adventures of orphan Alex Rider.Alex's uncle who is a former worker of MI6 has hired Alex to help them in their investigations.

Scorpia Rising is based in Egypt where a Greek billionaire has asked the firm Scorpia to retrieve the Elgin Marbles from Greece. Scorpia tries to blackmail MI6 and ruin their reputation after hiring a young teenager. The mission becomes deadly and his look-a-like becomes dangerous, which ultimately results in the death of Alex's friend.

Scorpia Rising is  great ending to the Alex Rider series, about a young secret agent who possesses exciting gadgets in gripping stories of life and death.
